Saturday was the grand re-opening of the Larkspur Hotel in Mill Valley (which is just North of San Francisco in Marin). The hotel as been completely renovated and looks great. Kristin Slye from Slye Marketing organized a kids and family party prior to the swanky pool side party. Kristin, besides being a fabulous marketing person is also a friend of mine and she asked me to photograph the families. I said yes without knowing how cool it would be. Not only did she have local kid celebrating and performer Enzo playing, but she also brought in Princess Lanie who is one of the most talented face painters I’ve ever seen. I met Lanie a few months back at a birthday party in Bernal Heights. She was amazing then and equally amazing on Saturday. She worked for two plus hours strait non-stopped turning little faces into cats, dragons and super heros. Definitely made for many happy children and a slew of nice party portraits.
Great work Kristen and congrats to everyone at the Larkspur Hotel. And to all the families, I tried to photograph most of the children that attended but I’m sure I missed quite a few. Apologies in advance if I missed your little one.
