Photographers will tell you that its all about chasing the light. Searching around the perfect light and doing what it takes to get and your subjects in the right place at the right time. This shot required almost causing a car wreck to get it. There we were, driving through the Presidio to Baker Beach to get the sunset for the third leg the engagement session. I came around the corner and I saw a bike rider coming the opposite direction just drenched in the most beautiful evening light.
This stop definitely wasn’t in our plan, but I couldn’t let it go so I slammed on the breaks and pulled part way off the road This caused trouble for the cars behind me of course and I’m sure Alysse and Cody (my super cute clients) were wondering what was going on. But I grabbed my camera, ran down the road and started barking orders over my shoulder about “just walk through that lit up area right there.” Fortunately, they were game even if I sounded a bit crazy. “How should we walk?” they yelled at me. ”Like you love each other”, I yelled back.
And this is the result. So very happy with it.
