Going away picnic for Rebecca, Ari and Jonah

Made it back from the AIDS Life Cycle just in time to attend Rebecca, Ari and Jonah’s going away party.  Didn’t really intend to take pictures (the mind and body were mucho tired-o) but the kids were cute so I snapped a few.  The playground in Golden Gate Park (19th and MLK) was nice.  Will have to plan a few portrait sessions there in the future.

Chloe’s Birthday Party

We were all waiting in anticipation for Chloe’s birthday party because Catherine had arranged for Enzo Garcia (the musical genius behind Breakfast with Enzo) to play.  The party was hosted by Chloe’s grandparents at their beautiful home off of Alta Plaza Park.  Enzo brought his unique brand of entertainment and we all had a great time – especially when the cup cakes appeared.

AIDS Life Cycle 2009 – Photo Summary

Hellllooooo fellow riders, friends and family,

Thanks so much for all of your help and support.  ALC 2009 was just amazing and definitely one of the best experiences I have had in a very long time.  Great riding, great support, and great people.  I’m writing up a longer day by day description of what happened but I wanted to post the photos first.

Couple notes about the pictures:

  • I took more pictures as the week went on and I got more comfortable with my place in crowd.  You’ll see that by the shear volume of pictures at the end.
  • Three category of photos -
    • General snap shots of me and the people I rode with (Greg, Dan, Casey, Kate, Shawn and Tom)
    • Candids from around camp and the closing ceremonies
    • A bunch with a Sports Basement focus.   If you don’t know, I work at Sports Basement and am putting together a collage of ALCers that are also SB customers.
  • All shots are copyrighted by me but can be used for personal use by any ALC rider, roadie or staffer.  If you want them for commercial use, please contact me first.
  • I don’t know the vase majority of the people in the candid shots.  If you know someone (or someone who knows someone) in them, please forward them this link.

Thanks again for the fabulous week and have a great night,

Joey

Franklin Square Playground Opening

Great community story.  A few years ago, Franklin Square was a run down park in the heart of the mission.  But now, after years of hard work and a $1.2 million grant from the city, the park looks fabulous.  So glad to see children playing.  Complete photos here.
