The best story of this wonderful family session at Baker Beach happened before I picked up a camera. I arrived early and walked to the beach to scope out the scene. As I walked back up to the parking lot I walked past a van right as a beautiful little girl gets out and does that wonderful ballet twirl. Looked like she was having so much much fun. I said “great dancing”. She laughed and I continued to my car to pick up my gear. A few minutes later, I get a call from B (my client) saying they were also early. Much to my delight I realized that it was the same girl that was dancing early. At that moment, I new it was going to be a fun session and it was. The little one danced and jumped her way up and down the beach. Mom and dad were a little hesitant at first, but the eventually took off their shoes and everyone played in the water. They were visiting San Francisco from Kansas City and while seeing Baker Beach and the Golden Gate bridge was on their list of things to do, I don’t think they planned of getting in the cold Pacific water. But from all the smiles and laughs I think it was a good detour.
Thanks L family and I hope to see you again in San Francisco.
