Driving across the Golden Gate Bridge on my way to meet the T family, I ran into that oh so common San Francisco treat – a big fog bank. The fog was rolling across the bridge in big waves so I was had a moment of worry. Not so much for the fog as that can make for beautiful lighting but rather the chill that comes with it. Family photographs are a little tough when noses get red. Fortunately, the fog was pulling out and the sun was warming the day. And actually that combination made for a wonderfully interesting day. As we walked through the trees in the Presidio I could see the sun starting poke through the fog in this beautiful streams of light. Different places would light up as one of the streams would appear stay for a few moments and then disappear back into the fog. Everything was soft and fantastical. We had great fun as the kids chased the light and played on the winding logs. Another stellar example of how San Francisco can surprise you any day of the year.
